What is GL and what are its uses?

GL are geotextile and bentonite composites made for a variety of environmental containment programs. Geotextiles have long-term stamina against physical or chemical decomposition in harsh elements, while high bentonite swelling capacity and low permeability provide effective hydraulic seals.

By replacing a thick part of the compressed clay with a thin layer of pure sodium bentonite, GCL’s offer a good alternative to conventional compressed liners. Its advantages include easy installation, better hydraulic performance and resistance to various weather conditions.

Installations for most GCL projects by construction personnel using conventional equipment can be completed. JJLs also have their own sealing characteristics and reduce the risk of malfunction due to unfavorable conditions and operating conditions.

Needle-perforated manufacturing technology greatly enhances the internal and external shear endurance of GJLs. Expands the scope of applications where GJS can be used. The sturdy tingling process links three unique layers of Bentoxix – two outer encapsulated geotextiles and a sodium bentonite core. This link creates a single and engineering barrier that uses the best synthetic and natural materials.

Bentonite Strength of GCL Powder

It is removed from significantly thicker layers of compressed clay. The exceptional and immediate swelling feature of sodium bentonite powder provides a long-term barrier that can ‘seal itself and heal again’. For example, swelling can be used to fill punctured and damaged areas. It is also hydrated to renew the dam even if it exists again.

Exposed to the dryness of highly engineered geotextile outer layers, it has tremendous protection against bentonite piping, durability against damage and power to manage challenges inherent in barrier schemes, such as security on slopes and against oscillation heads.

Sodium bentonite clay used in GCL is a clay mineral that swells between clay platelets upon arrival. When water is watered under the enclosure, bentonite swells to form a low permeable clay layer and hydraulic protection equivalent to a few feet of compressed clay.

Application of Benzofix in GCL Production

BenzofixJLs are produced by distributing a uniform layer of sodium bentonite between two geotextiles. Fibers from nonwoven geotextiles are pierced through the bentonite layer and incorporated into other geotextiles (either woven or non-woven).

This process leads to strong mechanical bonding between fabrics. Then a proprietary process for heat treatment – the thermal locking process – is used to correct and permanently fix the perforated fibers in place. These characteristics include increased internal shear strength and long-term creep resistance.

The thermal locking process permanently locks the perforated fibers of the non-indesitive geotextile layer with a layer carrying a variety of uncoated GCL types and improves the performance of hydraulic conductivity in confined limited stresses. It also increases resistance to the harvesting of fibers – an improvement in durability action that increases friction between the face. It also ensures long-term shear strength and immediate fibrous resistance during hydration.

In addition, bontofix has an immediate and advanced barrier to gas and radon with polyethylene liners coated with extrusion while protecting against drying and sensitive materials.
